This corrects the date on our guide
Our earlier guide used a 6 December estimate. The official IBPS calendar instead lists CSA-XVI mains on 27 December. This article is a clarification of the calendar published on 16 January, not a claim that IBPS issued a new October examination notice.
Keep calendar dates separate from release status
IBPS reserves the right to change the tentative examination dates. A scheduled date does not establish that a result or call letter is available, nor does it establish that an examination was completed without changes. Use the current CSA-XVI page and your own call letter for candidate-specific instructions.
The State/UT and bank-preference window has closed
The official CRP CSA-XVI preference portal displayed data capture from 16 to 23 October 2026. That period is now over. Keep your saved application/preferences record and check IBPS for any later instruction or reopening. A preferences portal is not a prelims-result announcement and does not change the tentative mains date by itself.
What to do next
- Use 27 December as the tentative mains planning date, subject to later IBPS changes.
- Check the CSA-XVI cycle page for the actual prelims-result and mains-call-letter announcement.
- Continue mains preparation while waiting; confirm your assigned date and reporting time from the call letter when issued.

CAT 2026 admit-card date revised to 6 November: downloads through 29 November; official mock from 6 November
The official 4 November media release gives a revised download window of 6–29 November. The CAT mock with sample questions is also scheduled from 6 November; the test remains on 29 November in three shifts.
