The newer release replaces the earlier 4 November start
The CAT portal now lists 6 November as the download start. Its 4 November media release says admission documents have been generated for eligible candidates and can be downloaded from 6 to 29 November using the CAT application login ID and password. Use this later release rather than the earlier tentative 4 November schedule. The application-form download is a separate document.
Use the official mock to practise the interface
The same release schedules a mock with sample questions on the CAT website from 6 November. Use it to learn navigation and the interface alongside your own revision. A sample question set familiarises candidates with the format; it is not a promise of the live paper’s questions or a replacement for the current examination instructions.
Check the assigned slot and admission instructions
The test remains scheduled for Sunday, 29 November, in three shifts. When your card is available, check your name, photograph, centre, assigned session and reporting instructions. The media release mentions face matching and mobile jammers at selected locations. Follow the actual admission document for identity, permitted items and reporting rules, and check the portal for later changes.
What to do next
- Keep your CAT application login ID and password ready.
- From the scheduled 6 November start, use iimcat.ac.in to check actual access and download the admit card.
- Try the official mock when published, and follow your individual centre, shift and reporting instructions.
