SSC GD shortlist: PET/PST call letters, documents and sensible preparation

By ExamShortcut · Published 22 Oct 2026 · Checked 4 Nov 2026

The SSC GD 2026 CBT result and PET/PST shortlist were declared on 12 October 2026. The immediate task is to confirm your own entry and follow the authorised physical-stage instructions. A CBT shortlist is progress through selection, not the final appointment.

SSC’s 23 October category clarification explains UR-standard shortlisting and the two category columns in the detailed lists. Keep both result notices together when checking your status.

1. Save the final-key and marks records

The 3 November final-key and CBE-marks notice gives access from 3 November at 17:00 to 17 November at 17:00. Save your question-paper/response document and scorecard through the appropriate official logins. The marks release does not provide your physical-stage appointment. See the final-key update for the exact routes and deadline.

2. Confirm the correct shortlist entry

Read the official write-up before searching the list. Match roll number and the relevant list conditions, including category, gender, state or area where those apply. Do not infer your status from a friend's cutoff or a screenshot with an incomplete heading.

Keep the result write-up and the page containing your entry together. Record whether the notice specifies a withheld, provisional or conditional case. Raw marks from an answer sheet do not replace the published normalised result. The GD result update links to the verified official write-up.

3. Wait for the actual physical-stage instructions

Use SSC and the authorised CRPF recruitment portal for the next notice and call-letter link. The CBT result date does not itself tell you your PET/PST date, venue or reporting time. Save the call letter when available and read every instruction rather than relying on a circulating summary.

Prepare travel only after checking the individual date and centre. Keep the relevant helpline or official contact details from the notice. Never send your registration password or identity document to someone promising an earlier call letter. A portal link being present is also not proof that every candidate can already download a document.

4. Check standards and documents for your own case

Physical standards and relaxations are category and region specific. Compare the official rule with the category and residence claims in your application. Do not use a generic height or running chart without its exceptions. Obtain the certificate prescribed for a claimed relaxation if the notice requires one.

Build a folder for identity, date of birth, education, category and other claims actually requested. Keep originals and the specified copies separate. A name mismatch or an outdated certificate deserves attention before the reporting day. Final instructions in the call letter control what to bring.

5. Keep preparation sustainable and evidence-based

Record your current ability and the official task you must meet, without adopting a last-minute extreme training routine from a video. Practise within your experience; symptoms, injuries or uncertainty about safe activity need qualified professional advice. This page does not prescribe a fitness programme.

For a future written attempt, keep a small revision cycle in arithmetic, reasoning and awareness. Review why an option was wrong before adding more questions. Physical-stage readiness and document eligibility are separate requirements; a strong written score does not waive either.

Try it before opening the answer

Original learning checks, not recalled exam questions or a prediction of your score.

1. Your roll number is on the CBT-to-PET/PST list. Are you finally appointed?

No; follow the remaining selection stages.

The list authorises the next stated stage. Physical, medical, document and final allocation conditions still apply as notified.

2. A forwarded message gives a PET date, but your official call letter is unavailable. Which date should you book around?

Use the authorised notice and individual call letter.

A forwarded schedule is not sufficient evidence for your personal venue and reporting time. Check the official portal and contact channel.
