What the result means
Candidates on the relevant shortlist may proceed to the physical-test stage subject to the notice’s conditions. The CBT shortlist is not final force allocation or appointment. Use the correct gender and vacancy scope when consulting the candidate lists and cutoff annexures.
Why there is no single nationwide cutoff
The write-up contains state/UT and area-specific cutoff annexures with category and gender distinctions, plus a separate SSF table. Comparing your score to an unrelated row can give the wrong conclusion. The notice directs shortlisted candidates to CRPF for PET/PST call letters; individual marks and final answer keys are to be made available by SSC in due course.
23 October category clarification
SSC has since explained why some reserved-category candidates appeared as UR after qualifying on unreserved standards. The detailed lists distinguish the category applied under from the category against which a candidate was considered. All other terms and conditions of the 12 October result remain unchanged. Read the 23 October clarification alongside the original shortlist.
Later release: final keys and CBE marks
SSC’s 3 November notice makes final answer keys, question papers with responses and CBE marks available from 3 November at 17:00 until 17 November at 17:00. Save the response document and scorecard through the matching official routes. This does not replace the earlier shortlist/category instructions or announce final appointment.
What to do next
- Read the SSC result write-up and locate the candidate list that applies to you.
- Match the correct state/UT, area, category, gender and force scope before reading a cutoff.
- Check CRPF recruitment for your physical-test call letter and instructions; keep the required certificates ready.
