What the job actually is
Auditor is a Group C post in the C&AG, CGDA and CGA offices. The work mirrors the AAO cadre — audit of government accounts — at a lower pay level and with a steadier clerical-technical mix. It is one of the most-applied CGL posts because it is seen as a stable, transfer-light path into the accounts world.
