Result and scorecard

The CBT 1 result is announced RRB-wise as a normalised-score cutoff for CBT 2 shortlisting. The final shortlist for document verification is built only from CBT 2 marks, expressed as a Merit Index between 350 and 900 so that different branches compete on one scale.

StageWhat the result means
CBT 1Common screening paper of 100 questions in 90 minutes with 1/3 negative marking (Mathematics 30, General Intelligence and Reasoning 25, General Awareness 15, General Science 30). Shortlists for CBT 2 at 15 times the community-wise vacancies of the RRB. Minimum qualifying: UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL and SC 30%, ST 25%. CEN 04/2026 CBT 1: 27 and 28 October 2026 (revised schedule).
CBT 2150 questions in 120 minutes with 1/3 negative marking; a virtual calculator is provided on screen. General Awareness 15, Physics and Chemistry 15, Basics of Computers and Applications 10, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control 10, Technical Abilities 100 from your Exam Group. Same minimum qualifying percentages as CBT 1.
Document verificationCandidates are shortlisted at 1:1 of the vacancies on normalised CBT 2 merit and post options; ties are broken by age (older first) and then alphabetically by given name. Before DV, photo and signature scans are uploaded on the orims-ir.gov.in/rbdv portal where the RRB asks for it. Original certificates checked at DV include Class 10 for date of birth, diploma/degree or B.Sc with marksheets, category certificates in the central format, EBC/BPL/Izzat MST documents if claimed, ex-servicemen and PwBD certificates, and an NOC from serving government or PSU employees.
Medical examinationRailway medical against the standard of the allotted post (most JE posts B-1 or B-2, some design posts A-3, CMA B-1). A-3 posts require colour, binocular, night and mesopic vision tests, and LASIK or similar refractive surgery makes candidates ineligible for them. A one-time medical appeal with prescribed charges is allowed under the laid-down conditions.

Scorecard: Marks and cutoffs are published RRB-wise on the official RRB websites; candidates log in with their registration number and date of birth to view their score.
