SSC CPO: combine written revision with physical-stage planning
By ExamShortcut · Published 22 Oct 2026 · Checked 2 Nov 2026
The 26 October corrigendum revises CPO 2026 CBE to 23–28 November. Separately, CPO 2025 Paper II is scheduled for 28 November under the 2 November notice. Match the year and stage before making your revision or admission plan.
1. Build the mock around the current notice
Do not carry a previous year's timer or paper structure into a new cycle without checking. Read the current CPO notification and your admission instructions, then configure practice accordingly. A section that locks when time ends cannot borrow spare time from your best subject.
Keep separate lines for reasoning, awareness, maths and English: attempted, correct, guessed and unfinished. Review unanswered questions after the timer. If you solve them easily without pressure, work on question selection; if not, return to the concept. The pattern page is a convenient summary, while the official notification remains authoritative.
2. Repair two bottlenecks instead of rereading everything
Choose one slow process and one recurring accuracy error. For example, compare ratios without unnecessary decimal division, and underline the base in a percentage question. Then test the repair on a mixed set where the method is not named.
For English, alternate a grammar review with a short comprehension exercise. Write the sentence or passage evidence supporting the answer. For awareness, close the notes and retrieve a small set of facts before checking them. An hour spent correcting a repeated error can be more useful than finishing another mock with the same mistake.
3. Understand the later physical and medical hurdles
Read the standards and endurance tasks for your sex, category, region and preferred post. A qualifying physical stage still matters: written marks do not erase an unmet eligibility requirement. Check any additional post-specific conditions, including required documents or licences, in the notification.
Plan suitable preparation early and within your experience; this is not a prescribed exercise programme. Review certificates supporting claimed relaxations before the reporting stage. Do not wait for a shortlist to discover that you have been using the wrong physical-standard chart. Use the official notice rather than a single social-media graphic.
4. Keep English and document readiness in the weekly plan
Continue language work while waiting for later-stage dates. Read a passage, summarise its argument and explain why close alternatives are unsupported. The reading-comprehension guide gives an original worked example.
Store your application and identity details together. Check the CPO process page for the official release workflow. An old correction link is not a current chance to change the application. If a genuine problem remains, use SSC's stated contact process and retain the response rather than trusting an unofficial “edit service”.
Try it before opening the answer
Original learning checks, not recalled exam questions or a prediction of your score.
1. A ratio changes from 3:4 to 4:5. Which is larger?
4:5.
Compare 3 × 5 = 15 with 4 × 4 = 16. Thus 3/4 is less than 4/5; decimal division is unnecessary.
2. Your total mock score rose while English accuracy fell. What should you inspect?
The section-level error and guessing record.
A better total can conceal a weak section. Diagnose the language errors before interpreting the whole-paper improvement as readiness.
