Where the 2025 cycle stands

Latest

The 2025 cycle (exam held in February 2026) is still running. The CBT result came out on 3 August 2026 and only shortlists Havaldar candidates for PET/PST; it is not a final result. PET/PST was reported for 24-31 August 2026, and tentative allocation follows after the physical tests. The next cycle (2026-27) has not been verified as notified: the SSC calendar had pencilled in 30 June 2026, but reports say it was postponed. Keep ssc.gov.in open for the new notice.

Status as last verified on 1 Oct 2026. See the important dates for the full list.

Admit card

Where: Your SSC candidate account on ssc.gov.in and the SSC regional website for your region.

When: Exam city slip a few days before the exam, admit card about 2 to 4 days before your own shift.

  1. 1Open the SSC website (ssc.gov.in) and sign in to your candidate account with your registration number and password, or open the admit card link of your region.
  2. 2Check the exam city and date slip first. SSC releases it a few days before the admit card.
  3. 3Download the admit card when it is published, usually a few days before your own exam date, and print it clearly.
  4. 4Check name, photo, roll number, shift, reporting time and centre address against your application. If something is wrong, write to your regional office at once, before exam day.

What to carry

  • A printed admit card
  • The original photo ID named in the admit card instructions
  • Only what the admit card allows. Phones, watches and calculators are normally not allowed inside

If the admit card does not appear a day before the exam, check the exam city slip, then contact your regional office. Do not rely on a screenshot from a coaching site.

Answer key

SSC puts out a provisional (tentative) answer key and each candidate's response sheet after the exam window closes, with a short period to challenge answers online.

  1. Sign in to your SSC candidate account when the answer key link opens.
  2. Download your response sheet and the provisional answer key, and compare them question by question.
  3. To challenge an answer, select the question, attach proof such as a textbook page, and pay the fee online before the window closes.
  4. SSC examines the challenges and publishes the final answer key. It does not reply to individual challenges.

Objection fee: In the SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 notice the fee was 50 rupees per question challenged. The amount for each exam is fixed in that exam's notice, so confirm it there before paying.

Normalised marks are not shown in the response sheet, so your raw score from the key will not match the score in the result.

Result and scorecard

Results are published as PDF lists of roll numbers on ssc.gov.in. Marks and the cutoff are released separately after the result.

StageWhat the result means
