What moves the cutoff
- Difficulty of the shifts you appear in. Normalisation lifts or lowers marks across shifts, so a hard shift does not cost you the way it would without it.
- Number of vacancies and number of candidates who appear. Vacancies for 2026 are tentative at about 2,536, which is lower than the 3,131 of the previous cycle.
- Attempts and accuracy trends in the paper. The UR Tier 1 cutoff rose from 2021 to 2023 in the data on this site.
