Result and scorecard
Each stage's result is a PDF roll-number list on the SBI careers page, with individual marks released separately through the official marks utility. Prelims marks are screening only and are not counted in the final merit.
| Stage | What the result means |
|---|---|
| Prelims | 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour with 20-minute sectional timing (English 40, Quant 30, Reasoning 30). About 10 times the category-wise vacancies are shortlisted on aggregate marks, with no sectional cutoff. For 2026-27 the exam was held on 1 and 2 August 2026 and the result was declared in August 2026. |
| Mains | Objective paper of 170 questions for 200 marks in 3 hours with separate section timing, followed immediately by the typed descriptive paper (3 questions, 30 marks, 30 minutes). Held on 12 September 2026. Sectional cutoffs plus a minimum aggregate apply, and roughly 3 times the category-wise vacancies are shortlisted for Phase-III. Appearing in the Mains consumes one of the permissible chances. |
| Psychometric Test, Group Exercise and Interview | Shortlisted candidates take a mandatory psychometric test (personality profiling with no marks), then Group Exercise (20 marks) and Personal Interview (30 marks), scheduled October/November 2026. Minimum qualifying marks in GE and Interview are decided by the Bank, and original documents are verified here. |
| Final merit and provisional selection | Final merit out of 100: Mains (objective plus descriptive, 230 marks) converted to 75, plus GE and Interview (50 marks) converted to 25. Prelims marks are not counted and ties are resolved by age in descending order. The provisional selection list appears on the careers page, subject to medical fitness, background verification and the ₹2 lakh service bond for a minimum 3-year service; probation is 2 years. |
Scorecard: SBI publishes no cutoff lists for PO. Marks for each stage are available only to individual candidates through the official marks lookup page on the careers site, and are kept there for a limited period, so download and save yours.
