RRB Group D 2026: admit card, answer key and result
This page explains how the admit card, the answer key and the result work for RRB Group D, which is conducted by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The official portal is rrbapply.gov.in and the website of your RRB, and everything here should be checked against the notice for your cycle.

Where the 2026 cycle stands
The CEN 09/2025 CBT has been held (from 3 August 2026) and the answer key was released on 7 September 2026. In the sources checked up to 1 October 2026, RRBs had not officially announced the CBT result; secondary sites only speculate about late October 2026. Until then: revise, and start PET practice (35 kg carry for men, 20 kg for women, plus the 1000 m run). The previous cycle, CEN 08/2024 (32,438 vacancies), is further ahead: its CBT result came out on 1 July 2026 and PET for shortlisted candidates ran from 25 July 2026 onward.
Status as last verified on 1 Oct 2026. See the important dates for the full list.

Answer key
The RRBs publish the question paper, the answer key and your response sheet after the exam, with a window to raise objections online.
- Use the link in the RRB notice and sign in with your registration number and date of birth.
- Open your response sheet and compare each answer with the provisional key.
- To object, select the question, upload proof if the form asks for it, and pay the fee online before the last date.
- The RRB decides on the objections and uses the revised key to prepare the result. It does not reply to each objection.
Objection fee: In recent RRB NTPC notices the objection fee was 50 rupees per question plus bank charges, refunded after the bank charges if the objection is accepted. Confirm the amount in your own notice.
The result uses normalised marks across shifts, so do not expect the raw score from the key to match the scorecard.
Result and scorecard
Each RRB publishes the CBT result as a PDF of roll numbers and the scores through the candidate login.
| Stage | What the result means |
|---|---|
| CBT | Shortlist for the physical efficiency test at about three times the vacancies, category-wise and RRB-wise. |
| PET | Physical test, qualifying only. Candidates called for document verification are taken in merit order. |
| Document verification and medical | Final stage, at about one time the vacancies, followed by medical examination for the post. |
Scorecard: The scorecard shows your marks and normalised marks. Download it when the link opens.
Once the result is out, compare your score with the official cutoffs.
Source basis: RRB notices and candidate login pages as seen in the CEN 09/2025 cycle. Always follow the notice and the official website for your cycle.
