RRB ALP / Technician score calculator

Enter how many questions you got right and wrong in each section. The calculator applies the RRB ALP / Technician marking scheme and shows your net marks, accuracy and how you stand against past cut-offs.

CBT 1: 75 questions, 75 marks, 60 minutes. CBT 2: Part A of 100 questions in 90 minutes decides merit, and Part B (ITI trade) of 75 questions in 60 minutes is qualifying only. One mark per right answer, one third off per wrong answer. The 2026 CEN does not fix a question count for each CBT 1 subject area or for the Part A subjects, so each stage is entered as one block. The Part B marks and the 35% Part B qualifying line are taken from our exam page, not read from the CEN itself. The CBAT weighting has changed between cycles (70:30 earlier, 50:50 from CEN 01/2026). Check the CEN for the current year.

Net marks = correct × marks per question − wrong × penalty. This is your raw score, before any normalisation.

Your category:

Minimum qualifying marks for UR: 40% = 30 of 75. Your raw score is 30 short of this line.

Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, 25% for ST. The actual shortlist cut-off is zone-wise and runs higher.

Compare with a past cut-off:

Cut-off 56.2 · your net 0 · -56.2 vs cut-off

List used: CBT 1 → CBT 2 shortlisting. Past cut-offs are on normalised marks and move with paper difficulty, so use this as a rough gauge, not a result. Full tables are on the cutoffs page.

The CEN lists three subject areas but does not fix how many questions each carries, so enter your total right and wrong answers. The 60 minutes run as one block. CBT 1 marks are normalised across shifts and only shortlist you for CBT 2. They do not count in the final panel. The past cut-offs on file are RRB Secunderabad figures for one cycle, so zone and year change them.

RRB ALP / Technician score calculator: FAQs

What is the RRB ALP / Technician marking scheme?

CBT 1: 75 questions, 75 marks, 60 minutes. CBT 2: Part A of 100 questions in 90 minutes decides merit, and Part B (ITI trade) of 75 questions in 60 minutes is qualifying only. One mark per right answer, one third off per wrong answer.

Is this my final score?

No. It is your raw score. The exam runs in several shifts, so the board normalises marks across shifts, and your final score can move up or down a little. The normalisation calculator on this site gives an estimate.

How should I read the cut-off comparison?

Past cut-offs are a rough guide. They move every year with the difficulty of the paper and the number of vacancies, so being above one is encouraging but never a guarantee.

Is anything here unconfirmed?

The 2026 CEN does not fix a question count for each CBT 1 subject area or for the Part A subjects, so each stage is entered as one block. The Part B marks and the 35% Part B qualifying line are taken from our exam page, not read from the CEN itself. The CBAT weighting has changed between cycles (70:30 earlier, 50:50 from CEN 01/2026).
